Yes! Online lessons are conducted via Skype or FaceTime. Work is done collaboratively on an online whiteboard and a PDF is sent after the lesson.
Examine It Tutoring prides itself on its customer interactions and holistic approach to learning. Our lessons focus on communication and creating an environment where students feel they can ask questions. Each lesson has well defined goals to accomplish, but our tutors adapt their lessons based on the students understanding and weaknesses. The tutor asks questions that prompts the student to checks their understanding and develops problem solving skills and critical thinking.
An Examine It Tutoring representative will usually respond within 24 to 36 hours to all email requests. To get on demand service, please call or text 207-831-3116. If the call or text is not immediately answered, it will be within an hour.
Examine It Tutoring is committed to your privacy. Tutors are barred from discussing names and lesson content outside of Examine It Tutoring. There is no communication with teachers, administrators, or other students unless explicitly requested by the parent or student.
Lessons usually take place at the student’s home. A quiet coffee shop or library can be arranged and is left to the student’s or parent’s discretion. Arrangements will be made during the initial contact phase of the process.
Examine It requires a 24 hour notice to avoid a 50% charge of the scheduled lesson length. Any lesson canceled within 2 hours of the scheduled time will be charged for the full lesson.
